New generation of Young Ambassadors

When we started the project Young Ambassadors, with a lot of enthusiasm and dedication, we thought of bringing this project to a real platform, where we can give decision-making mechanism to young people . The first generation of Young Ambassadors started in Pristina, Peja and Mitrovica.

15 young people, with a lot of willpower, followed the necessary training, as part of the project, and the knowledge of the training immediately began to be applied in practice. Olti, Fjolla, Anisa, Linda, Altini and many others, took over the continuation of the project, selecting informal groups of young people, who applied with ideas for community actions and decided which ideas will be funded by FIQ.

Identification, mobilization and training of young activists, and their guidance towards the creation and implementation of a grant giving mechanism, in order to identify and support new and interesting community actions by informal youth groups in the respective municipalities has been the main objective of this project. Two Young Ambassadors have become part of our staff: Oltion Beshiri –  Project Manager (from Prishtina) and Bleona Shehu – as Project Officer (from Kaçanik).

We are pleased to inform you that the call for the 2020 Generation of Young Ambassadors will soon be launched, with funding from the Global Fund for Community Foundations.
